the 2012 edition will be held in Vermont on July 28. Description Friday night: 8pm at the Matterhorn for check-in and warm up party 10am saturday morning start, check your email for the details ride about 25 miles of fine new england mountain biking to include pristine and ungroomed singletrack, doubletrack, zerotrack, dirt road, paved road, river crossings, roots, hike-a-bikes, snowmobile trail, very steep climbs, sketchy wooden bridges, very steep descents, large and small rocks in the trail, vintage trails, new IMBA-style trails, one big crazy loop, etc. This is a fun, sporting competition among friends. Bring appropriate attitude, clothing and be prepared for the unexpected. No age groups, weight classes or categories other than men and woman and that peculiar, highly competitive honor of DFL. At the end of the race, all finishers will have the opportunity to derby for the belt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Nklatt/Bike_derby and cheer on the preliminaries for the hosting competition. 9pm: Apres party with the Black Owls and hosting finals at the Rusty Nail in Stowe We're setting this up so that once you get to Stowe you won't really need a car. It's a small village (er, resort town) and you can easily get anywhere by bicycle. Ride safely and don't drink and drive.
