Brian Matter finished 8th at Barry Roubaix in 2011. He was riding a Trek Top Fuel 26" full suspension bike. That's like using a sledgehammer to put a thumbtack into a bulletin board. This year he's riding a proper cross bike. We're thinking the outcome might be a little different. Garth Prosser didn't finish Barry Roubaix last year. It is called the "Killer Gravel Road Race" and it tried to do just that — dashing him to the ground and breaking his collarbone shortly after the start. Stephanie Swan is the REIGNING, DEFENDING American Ultra Cross Championship Series, uh...Champion of the world! (Say that in a Bruce Buffer voice, it works better. Maybe throw in a 180° twirl for good measure.) This will be Stephanie's first Barry Roubaix, as it was not part of the Ultra CX series last year. Mike Anderson was nearly DQed for a creative approach to the finish line at the 2011 edition of Barry Roubaix (he wasn't alone). Derek Graham is a bad man. There have been three editions of Barry Roubaix and Derek has finished on the podium at all of them. In 2010 he stood on the top step of that podium.
